GENERAL ASSEMBLY

COMPOSITION 

The General Assembly consists of all members of the association:

 

– Delegates representing the Member States

– Active members

– Supporting members

– Members of honors

 

FUNCTIONS AND POWERS

The General Assembly may discuss any questions or matters within the scope of the present Charter or relating to the powers and functions of any organs provided for in this Charter.

The General Assembly may consider the general principles of cooperation in the maintenance of peace, freedom, equality and justice.

The General Assembly shall study and make recommendations for the development of international cooperation in the economic, social areas of cultural, education, public health, and facilitating for all without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion, the enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The General Assembly meets at least once a year, convened by the President or on the request of a quarter of its active members.

Decisions are made democratically by a majority of votes. In case of problems, the chairman has a casting vote.

The General Assembly compare all members had any reason it is affiliated. At least fifteen days before the date fixed, the members of the association are convened by the secretary. The agenda is indicated on the summons. The President, assisted by members of the office, presides over the assembly and exposes the moral situation of the association. The treasurer takes stock for the meeting.

If necessary, or at the request of half plus one of the registered active members, the President may convene an extraordinary general meeting.

 

VOTE

1. The association has a democratic decision-making mechanism. Voting and decisions taken by majority vote.

2. Each active member and delegate member has one vote.

3. Decisions of the General Assembly are taken by a majority of members (delegates members, active members) present and voting.

A Member in arrears in the payment of its financial contribution to the association can not participate in the vote of the General Assembly.

PROCEDURE

The General Assembly is chaired by the President of the Association of Diplomatic UN youth.

In case of conflict between members, the decision and the solution will be the one decided by the president of the association.

The General Assembly or the board may establish such subsidiary organs as it deems necessary for the performance of his duties.
